GR5 is one of the most widely used titanium alloy. It has the advantages of pure titanium: light weight, non-toxic, corrosion resistance, and also has better physical properties than pure titanium:tensile strength >=895 MPa, yield strength BBB>830 MPa, hardness BBB2 =>32. Widely used in military industry, medical industry,aviation,motor vehicle industry, bicycle industry, machinery industry etc.

Titanium Grade 5 Overview:

Composition: Ti6Al4V is an alpha-beta titanium alloy composed of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium by weight. This alloy is one of the most commonly used titanium alloys due to its excellent combination of properties.

Strength: Ti6Al4V offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, comparable to many steels but with approximately half the density of steel. This makes it suitable for applications where weight reduction is critical without compromising on strength.

Corrosion Resistance: It exhibits good resistance to corrosion in a wide range of environments, including seawater and oxidizing acids. This property, combined with its biocompatibility, makes it suitable for medical implants and aerospace applications.

Heat Resistance: Ti6Al4V maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, up to about 400°C (752°F). This heat resistance makes it suitable for applications involving high temperatures.
