Product Introduction

Product Introduction:

Three-way ball valves serve a variety of functions in fluid control, accommodating different flow patterns with their "T" and "L" port configurations:

"L" Port Configuration:

Used primarily for switching flow direction.

Connects two different flow channels that are perpendicular (vertical) to each other.

Ideal for applications where fluid needs to be directed between two distinct paths.

"T" Port Configuration:

Provides options for switching, converging, and diverging flow directions.

Allows three channels to connect together or connects two channels while blocking the third.

Offers flexibility in routing fluid between multiple sources or destinations.

Grades of Titanium Ball Valve:

Titanium ball valves, known for their excellent corrosion resistance and strength, are widely used in various demanding environments, including chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and marine engineering fields:

TA1 (Gr1)-Pure titanium, offering the best ductility and toughness, easy to form and weld.

TA2 (Gr2)-Pure titanium, with good overall performance including good corrosion resistance and moderate strength, easy to form and weld.

TA9 (Gr7)-Primarily titanium with the addition of 0.12-0.25% palladium (Pd), significantly enhancing its corrosion resistance, especially in reducing environments.

TA10 (Gr12)-Titanium alloy containing small amounts of molybdenum (Mo) and nickel (Ni), providing better strength and heat resistance than pure titanium while maintaining good corrosion resistance.

TC4 (Gr5)-Titanium alloy mainly consisting of titanium with the addition of 6% aluminum (Al) and 4% vanadium (V), possessing very high strength and hardness, good corrosion resistance, and low density.

Applications of Three-Way Ball Valves:

Cutting off or shutting off flow: Closing one port to stop flow entirely.

Switching flow between two different sources: Directing flow from one input to another.

Combining the flow from two different sources: Mixing fluids from different inputs into a single output.

Alternating flow between two different destinations: Diverting flow between two outputs.

Diverting flow from one source to another destination: Changing the flow path from one inlet to one of two outlets.

Splitting flow from one source between two outgoing destinations: Distributing flow from one input to two separate outputs.

Applicable Standards and Specifications:

Ball Valve Design Standards: Compliant with API 6D, BS5351, ASME B16.34 standards.

Face to Face Dimensions: According to ASME B16.10 and API 6D for precise valve installation and replacement.

End Connections: Available with ASME B16.5 or ASME B16.47 flanges, as well as ASME B16.25 butt welding ends for diverse installation needs.

Fire Safety: Designed to meet API 6D and API 6A standards for fire safety requirements.

Inspection and Testing: Conforms to API 598 and API 6D for quality assurance and reliability.

Size Range, Pressure Ratings, and Temperature Range:

Size Range: Typically available from 2" to 48" to accommodate various flow capacities.

Pressure Rating: Suitable for ASME Class 150, 300, and 600 pressure ratings, ensuring compatibility with different operating pressures.

Temperature Range: Capable of handling temperatures from -196°C to 650°C (-321°F to 1202°F), making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
